We offer Free Delivery on all hampers & gifts to UK Mainland address.

ACCURATE ADDRESSES AND SIGNATURE FOR RECEIPT OF GIFT
Please ensure all addresses are accurate to include postal town and postcode, together with recipient’s telephone number. Inaccurate addresses will inevitably cause delay and incur an additional delivery charge. We are unable to deliver to BFPO and P O Box numbers. Our liability is limited to delivery to the building, not individual recipients. All gifts need to be signed for, so it may be better to deliver to the recipient’s work address, if no-one is in at home.
Orders received by 12:30 GMT time can be dispatched and delivered the next working day to any UK mainland addresse.

Orders received before 12:30 GMT on a Friday, will be delivered during working hours on Monday.

We make no extra charge for this service.

Northern Ireland, The Scottish Highlands and all offshore islands are a two day service with surcharges.



CHRISTMAS DELIVERIES

We guarantee Christmas delivery to UK mainland addresses for all orders received up to Tuesday 20th December. Orders received after this date will be subject to availability, which we will advise.

Christmas deliveries will be dispatched from 28th November to the 22nd December.

Fresh food hampers will be dispatched from 5th December 2016 and last dispatch date will be 20th December 2016. Fresh food hampers will not be delivered on Monday as we cannot guarantee they  will remain fresh in transit.

We are unable to guarantee a specific time or a day for delivery unless it has been accepted and agreed in writing with the Directors before 7th December. Recipients who are unable to accept and sign for their parcel will be left a card to telephone our courier to agree a suitable day for delivery/collection. However, during the week before Christmas, due to the volume of parcels being delivered, the courier requests permission to leave the goods in a safe place.

STANDARD DELIVERY TIMES

Deliveries are made between 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).

PREFERRED DELIVER BY DATE
You can select a preferred delivery date up to three months in advance of the date and we always do our best to deliver your gift by your preferred date. For Christmas deliveries, please see Christmas Delivery section.

We regret that we are unable to guarantee a day or time of delivery due to scheduling that is outside our control.

SATURDAY DELIVERIES
We can deliver on a Saturday if your order is placed before 14.00 (GMT) on the Friday before. Saturday delivery is an additional charge of £14.00. This service is for UK mainland only.

TIMED NEXT DAY SERVICE
Timed next working day UK mainland deliveries can be arranged for an additional charge:

Before 9.00 am for an additional £10.00
Before 12 noon for an additional £4.00

BULK DELIVERY TO ONE ADDRESS

Delivery costs are based on the total weight of the consignment.

Large orders to one address can be sent on the pallets via our courier. Alternatively these may be delivered by our own transport on a pre-arranged date and location.

MULTIPLE ADDRESSES

PROTECTIVE PACKAGING

All our gifts are packed in strong containers: colourful cartons, wicker baskets & alternative boxes. Depending on the contents of your gift, we usually pack glass items in bubble wrap and use either bubble wrap or polystyrene to protect your gift in transit. The whole gift and container is then enclosed in a strong cardboard outer.

INSURED AND TRACKED
The gifts are dispatched via a courier and are insured and tracked. The delivery driver will need a signature for receipt of gift, so it is important to ensure there will be someone at the recipient’s address during working hours (Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm)



NON DELIVERY ARRANGEMENTS:

RECIPIENT NOT IN AND NO-ONE TO SIGN FOR GIFT
The driver will leave a card at the address with contact information for redelivery or collection.

Any parcel which has been carded and not delivered or collected within five working days from date of dispatch is automatically returned to Distinct Hampers.

We cannot be held responsible if the recipient does not contact the courier within 5 days of despatch on receipt of the calling card.

REDIRECTION CHARGES
The courier charges a redirection fee of £8.40 (£7.00 + 1.40 vat @ 20%) if required to be delivered to another address once in transit.

RE-SEND FEE
If a gift is returned to Distinct Hampers and needs to be re-sent a courier fee of £12.00 (£10.00 + £2.00 vat @ 20%), will apply.

CLAIMS FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE
In the unlikely event of damage or loss in transit, we will replace the damaged contents or gift immediately free of charge providing the following:

– The goods are signed for upon receipt as damaged or have been refused because of obvious damage.

– The courier and ourselves are informed at once and it is confirmed by the recipient to us in writing within a reasonable time of delivery quoting reference number on the parcel. Our couriers recommend that any damage which  cannot be seen from the outside must be notified in writing within 7 days.

– Damaged goods must be retained for inspection and it may be required that they be returned to us at our expense before replacement or refund.

– All claims must be submitted within 10 days of receiving.

– Returned goods must clearly show the full name, address and telephone number of the sender.

– We cannot accept responsibility for the wrong order or non-delivery, resulting from incorrect information or addresses being provided.
